The terminology and rules used in volleyball are totally unique to the sport and can be confusing and overwhelming for new players. From the complex rotations and numerous positions, to the confusing and unconventional rules, it can often be difficult to learn these terms if you are a casual fan or a new player. However, the practicality of voice assistants allows us to learn beyond the court, and instead share information with interested parties at a time and place that works for them.
Easy and Accessible, Building with Delight
Using Delight Labs’ Voice App Creator made this task easy thanks to the helpful tutorials and straightforward interface. As our world continues to evolve, it’s clear that we will require new technologies to keep pace with us. AI voice assistants will certainly become more widely adopted in workspaces and home offices given their ability to deliver information that is highly individualized and they are already making great strides in terms of adoption and impact.
Delight’s platform allowed me to create a voice app without any programming experience. Following the quick and intuitive tutorials, I only needed to include content, pictures, and links in my app, with the platform doing the rest for me. In a short amount of time, I was able to cover specific volleyball terminology, from positions to skills and common rules that every beginner should know. Currently the app is suitable for beginners, but with more time it could quite easily be made more comprehensive and would be suitable for more advanced players and supporters.
A Voice App for Everyone
Testing and using the app is easy. To start, download the Google Assistant app which is available on both Android and iOS devices. Open the voice assistant and click the microphone, clearly saying, “Hey Google, talk to Volleyball Basics.” This will open the app and you can start explore the suggested topics or asking any other questions you may have.
